A very busy May!

A lot has been going on in the Riversdale garden this month. We held our beautiful Mother’s Day event (see previous post), and hosted the Riverdale Elementary School 5th graders who toured and tasted some of what is growing and helped us plant our Three Sisters Garden. Some welcome new (and on-going) volunteers have been helping with a variety of tasks including weeding, sheet mulching, and harvesting produce to add to the delicious-looking historical meals prepared by the Kitchen Guild on select Sundays, as well as for donation to our local community food pantries. There are, of course, the first-of-the-year for lots of blooms and fruit, and, last, the arrival of the long-awaited second garden sign.
